Comfort for customers and staff

Retail premises can gain heat from display lighting, refrigeration, glazing, open doors, equipment and changing customer numbers. Climetech surveys the space around those real conditions before selecting the system capacity and indoor-unit positions.

A correctly planned system can provide controllable cooling in warm weather and useful heating in colder months. Controls can be positioned for staff access, with operating guidance provided at handover.

Planned around the premises

The survey considers shop-floor layout, counters, displays, stock areas, ceiling construction, door use and potential draughts. It also covers refrigerant pipe routes, condensate drainage, electrical requirements, outdoor-unit positions and future service access.

Where a property is leased, landlord or managing-agent approval may be needed before equipment, external trunking or outdoor units are installed. Identifying that early helps prevent delays.

Single rooms and multi-zone shops

A small retail unit may suit one wall-mounted split system. Larger shops, showrooms or premises with separate customer, office and stock areas may need cassettes, ducted units, multi-splits or a larger multi-zone arrangement. Climetech will explain the practical options rather than defaulting to the most complicated system.

Replacement, servicing and breakdown support

Older retail equipment can be assessed for repair or replacement. If parts are unavailable or a major repair would be poor value, Climetech will explain the position plainly and provide a replacement option where appropriate.

Planned maintenance supports airflow, performance, drainage and reliability. If a working shop needs short-term cooling while fixed equipment is being dealt with, portable air conditioning hire may also be considered, subject to availability.

Frequently asked questions

What type of air conditioning is suitable for a shop?

The right option depends on floor area, glazing, lighting, occupancy, opening doors and usable indoor and outdoor positions. Wall-mounted, cassette, ducted or multi-zone systems may be considered after a site survey.

Can installation be planned around opening hours?

The programme can be discussed around access, trading hours and the work involved. The agreed quotation will set out the installation scope and expected programme.

Can Climetech replace an old retail air-conditioning system?

Yes. Climetech can assess existing equipment and provide clear repair-or-replace advice, followed by a written replacement quotation where appropriate.
